LIFETIME GUARANTEE: Because I care about quality, I guarantee everything I make for life against defects in materials and workmanship. If it fails and it's my fault, I'll fix it for free. True story!
I grew up around the leather craft business. My dad and uncle got their start in leather back in the 1960's. Through the years, they made all kinds of things in leather and had retail stores as well. When I was young, my dad stepped away from the retail business and focused on his own craft, taking us to fine art and craft shows all over the country. I worked in my dad's shop as a boy stuffing bags, setting rivets, painting the building and even one summer digging out the basement!
I eventually left home and served a total of eleven years in the US Army. When I finally got out, I decided to start my own leather craft business. So, with a few machines my dad graciously gave me and some money I had saved, I started Homestead Leather LLC on the old family farm, where seven generations of our family had lived for over one hundred fifty years.
Today, my shop is co-located with my dad's business, MacClay Leather Design. You can see his work at MacClayLeather.com.
All my life, my master Yeshua has held my hand and guided me every step of the way, even when I didn't want him to. He has protected me in war, rejoiced with me in good times and blessed me through hard times. He has endowed me with a talent for leather work that I absolutely cannot take credit for. And so I give credit where credit is due; I totally credit Yehovah for all that I have and all that I am, and I seek to live my life as a witness to the dramatic life-changing power of Yeshua.
With this in mind, I strive for excellence in my leather work. I use the best quality materials I can find; I do not believe in cutting corners by using cheap leather or hardware. I use fine American Oak-Tanned leather in my products. I combine this firm leather with Kipskin (young cow) which is thinner, more flexible, and extremely strong. This combination of leathers gives my products a unique style that you will find nowhere else. I use solid brass and stainless steel hardware, heavy nylon thread, and waterproof rip-stop nylon lining. Because I care about the quality of my work, I guarantee everything I make for life against defects in materials and workmanship. With proper care, my products will last decades.
I hope you are having as much fun as I am!
Blessings,
Brian
