To fulfill your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information (I do not see your credit card information), and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (i.e for a custom order), if you contact me directly.
Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It:
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
-as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfill your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support.
-when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list.
-if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law.
Information Sharing and Disclosure:
Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
-Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies (i.e. The United States Postal Service). I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
-Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
-Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests. (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies. (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues. (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
-Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
-Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
-Object. You can object to (a) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (b) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
-Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

I can stamp your name, initials or whatever you like on most of my products.
Monograms are 1/2 inch tall letters, all caps. Using my heat stamping machine, monograms stamp cleanly and beautifully. See an example in the color swatches photo on most listings in my shop.

Properly cared for, my products will last a lifetime. We have seen leather items from the civil war come in the shop that are still in excellent condition because they were cared for properly!
Over time, leather dries out and needs to have oil put back into it. I use Fiebing's Neatsfoot Oil Compound on my leather, and I highly recommend it. See the Leather Hides & Supplies section of my shop to purchase a bottle.
**Never use Mink Oil on my products because it will rot the nylon thread and is NOT covered in my lifetime guarantee against defects.
Water will not damage my products. While the finish I use is water resistant, you may see some water spotting, especially on light colors. The lining I use is a waterproof rip-stop nylon which will keep out the rain so you need not worry about your electronics and other items getting wet when you get caught out in the rain. Because, lets face it, that happens to all of us!
Water will cause leather to dry out more quickly, so if your bag gets wet frequently, you should put oil back into it more often. (see Leather Care above)
My goal is to make the absolute best quality products possible; therefore, I guarantee everything I make for life against defects in materials and workmanship. With this in mind, I use only the finest quality leather, nylon thread, rip-stop nylon lining, solid brass and stainless steel hardware available. If something goes wrong and it is my fault, I will happily fix it for free!
I use the best quality veg-tanned leathers available. I dye and finish my leather by hand. Because I do not use "painted" finishes, the natural characteristics of the hide show through. This may include textures, fat wrinkles, scars and natural blemishes.
While I do cut around all defects in the hide, on occasion I do keep some scars and blemishes. In this case, I do my best to place them on a relatively unnoticeable location on my products. (i.e. inside or on the back) I do this to avoid being wasteful and to keep my prices reasonable.
When you see leathers with no variation at all, you are usually looking at lesser quality hides which have been painted over with fillers. I never use hides like these.
